Oleg Fishelev is a distinguished Russian entrepreneur and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Unimatic Group of Companies. This group specializes in engineering, supplying, and maintaining metalworking machinery, with a strong focus on digital technology integration and business process automation.
Education
Oleg Fishelev completed his studies at Ural Federal University (UrFU), earning a degree in Economics and Management with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. His academic journey continued with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo in 2018, where he enhanced his knowledge in business management and strategic planning.
Career
Following his graduation from UrFU, Oleg joined Unimatic, the company founded by his father, Igor Fishelev. He began by gaining hands-on experience across various aspects of the company’s operations, which provided him with a thorough understanding of both the business and its production processes. Oleg quickly progressed to the role of Deputy General Director, where he concentrated on implementing digital technologies and automating business processes. His efforts led to significant improvements in the company’s efficiency and operational effectiveness.
In 2018, Oleg took over as the owner of Unimatic Group of Companies and continued to steer its growth and development. Under his leadership, the company not only preserved its market standing but also achieved considerable expansion. Since 2021, Unimatic has been focused on import substitution by developing localized CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines. In response to geopolitical changes in 2022, the company pivoted away from European and Japanese partners and redirected its efforts toward the Chinese market. This strategic shift resulted in the establishment of a new subsidiary, Dalian Unimatic Trading Co. Ltd (DUT), in China.
Currently, Unimatic is a prominent importer of machinery from China and remains at the forefront of innovation within the mechanical engineering industry.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Oleg has a passion for developing computer games using Unreal Engine.
